Mr. Mahipal Reddy assumed the charge as Executive Director at the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) in GIFT City, Gujarat, in November 2024. He brings 35 years of extensive experience spanning the insurance industry, as well as regulation and supervision. In his current role at IFSCA, he oversees key activities related to Insurance, Pension and Ancillary Services. Before joining IFSCA, he served as Chief General Manager at the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). During his year tenure at IRDAI, he gained extensive experience in insurance regulation and supervision, particularly in the areas of registration, monitoring, and overseeing the governance of general insurance companies and insurance brokers in India. This expertise has provided him with valuable insights into the insurance regulation and supervisory frameworks. Prior to his role at IRDAI, Mr. Mahipal Reddy worked with a Public Sector General Insurance Company, where he held various positions, including managing branch offices. This phase of his career allowed him to acquire significant field experience in the insurance sector. Mr. Mahipal Reddy holds professional qualifications in insurance as a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. He has postgraduate degrees in Economics and Management, equipping him with sound knowledge in Non-Life Insurance and Insurance Regulations.
